Forms Pillowfight Arena

During my second week of my summer program at Taubman, I used different forms of blocks to build a small, one purpose room. Initially, I made the blocks in Rhino 3D, and used patterns in Illustrator (both that I made and ones the database had) to design the blocks. Once put into a design, the blocks would serve as placeholder for the exterior of the one purpose building. For my build, I decided to reflect on the nostalgia of my childhood, which was filled with pillow fights. My small pillow fight arena not only gives children a place to stay and store unused pillows, but gives other people places to study and work, both on the pillow ramp in green and the stairs in blue. The hardest part about this design was incorporating all of the components into the project on Adobe Illustrator, and changing the color was very difficult for pieces that were not initially in the software. However, I learned new techniques from my studio instructor who shaped my project to what it is today.
