Kankakee Vehicle Gizmo

During the second semester of my freshman year, I designed an electric vehicle gizmo to help nurture the soil in the Kankakee River Marsh. This design was originally iterated on paper and later imported into Rhino for further development.

The inspiration for my model was a tank roller, but smaller to avoid disturbing the ecosystem. While the gizmo rolls across the marsh, the central compartment will disperse seeds stored in pipes through small holes in the rollers. By depositing more seeds into the ground, the natural ecosystem will continue to flourish. This promotes abundant wildlife and nature in the marsh, slowly rebuilding what humans have torn down over time and working to balance the ecosystem in the future.
